Utility Worker II for Wastewater
Salary range $53,976 to $89,586

Minimum requirements: Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must have Class A CDL or obtain within 6 months of hire date and maintain for duration of employment. Must have ADEM Grade 1C Wastewater Certification or obtain within 12 months of hire date and maintain for duration of employment. Previous utility experience preferred. Excellent benefits.

Chief Water Operator
SALARY RANGE $75,629 TO $125,549
Madison Utilities has an opening for a Chief Water Operator to oversee, supervise and coordinate daily operations and maintenance of water treatment plants, wells, tanks, and booster stations. Additionally, the Chief Water Operator will compile and submit monthly reports to ADEM as well as ensuring safety protocols are enforced and laboratory testing is conducted both in-house and outsourced. Supervisory responsibilities will typically involve 12 to 15 employees. This position requires an ADEM Grade IV Water Treatment Operator Certification and a valid Alabama driver’s license. Five years of previous utility/supervisory experience preferred. Materials Coordinator
SALARY RANGE $53,976 TO $89,586
Minimum requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and CDL license (or obtain within 6 months of hire date). Must have ADEM Grade 1 Water Certification (or obtain within 12 months of hire date). Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain within designated timeframe. Responsibilities include purchasing and maintaining inventory levels, managing warehouse operations, supporting operational personnel, utilizing work order and inventory management and maintaining warehouse organization and security. Previous utility experience preferred. Excellent benefits available.
