Recently, the EPA issued a new health advisory to manage the risk for a group of man-made chemicals in drinking water called PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). Madison Utilities is committed to the protection of public health, and to ensuring our drinking water is safe, high-quality and meets all regulatory standards. As part of this commitment, we want to explain and describe the ongoing research being conducted by Madison Utilities and neighboring water utilities in North Alabama.
