Pinnacle Data Systems is the outsource bill print contractor for Madison Utilities. They are experiencing unprecedented work force issues that is resulting in bill delivery delays. Bills are still being created on time at our office and emails are being sent to those customers who have signed up for Paperless Billing or have requested to receive an email notification along with their paper bill.

Due dates are the same every month, if you have not received your bill, please call the office for your balance due or visit our online portal for up to date information.

Information and updates regarding water supply during COVID-19 more info

March 30, 2020

Public Posting

Madison Utilities has no higher priority than the safety of our customers and employees. Due to the growing concern regarding the spread of COVID-19 and the efforts to reduce exposure to the virus which are forcing many residents to stay home for indefinite periods of time, Madison Utilities is temporarily suspending service interruptions (lock-offs) for non-payment until further notice.
Customers are encouraged to make any payment (even if it is a partial payment) whenever possible, however, water service will not be disrupted during this time when clean water is more essential than ever. Customers who know they will endure a hardship associated with actions taken to curtail the spread of COVID-19 should contact Madison Utilities as soon as possible to discuss their accounts.
With the lobby closed, it is important to know that payments can be made a number of ways which do not require face-to-face interactions. Options include payment via personal online banking/bill pay, bank draft, putting a payment in the night drop box, or, customers may also make payments (temporarily) via telephone by dialing 256-772-0253 and speaking with a customer service representative.

Questions/Concerns about Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOS) or Perfluoroctyl Sulfonate (PFOA)

As reflected in  attached press release from ADEM (the Alabama Department of Environmental Management), Madison Utilities is not among the water systems in the State of Alabama which have received tests results reflecting concentrations of Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOS) or Perfluoroctyl Sulfonate (PFOA) at or above final health advisory levels. In fact, tests performed at the direction of ADEM confirm that neither PFOA nor PFOS are found in  any detectible levels in Madison Utilities’ finished drinking water. All such tests were performed in compliance with Rule 3 of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rules.
